Duration = End Date/Time − Start Date/Time

Conversions

Total hours = milliseconds ÷ 3,600,000
Total minutes = milliseconds ÷ 60,000

From 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on the same day is 8 hours and 30 minutes.
